Peculiar Church of Christ

The family of Christians who meet at the Peculiar Church of Christ extend an open invitation to all who want to attend and learn from God's word and understand what the Bible teaches for our everyday lives.

We seek to worship God and please him by holding services that are acceptable in his sight as directed in the Bible.

​

We hold these services on the first day of the week and offer communion to those who have accepted Christ.

We also offer classes before our worship service in order to help all those who attend gain insight into God’s word.

Our worship services are designed so that they follow the teachings of Christ as he has asked us to do.

Specifically:

We meet on the first day of the week, as commanded in the Bible, to study his word and hear lessons from God’s word (Acts 20:7)

​

We sing praises in his name without the use of musical instruments as indicated in the Bible. (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16)

​

We offer communion on the first day of the week as Christ established in Matthew (26: 26-29). We offer unleavened bread, which represents his body and the fruit of the vine, which represents his blood that was shed for all mankind.

 

 We also offer the opportunity to give back, separate and apart from the Lord’s Supper, a portion of our means to carry on the work of the Church at Peculiar. (1 Corinthians 16:2) and (2nd Corinthians 9:7).  Whatever is given, must be given with a cheerful heart.

In addition to our morning services on the first day of the week, we also offer Bible Study on Sunday evenings and Wednesday nights unless otherwise noted.
